Umer Farooq Farooqi was born in 1973 in Lahore. He holds an MBA in Finance and has also completed CA (Inter), equipping him with a strong foundation in accounting, finance, and strategic management. He is a seasoned IT professional, business leader, and art enthusiast with over three decades of experience in Pakistan’s technology and distribution industry.

He currently serves as the CEO of Macro Solution and Director of Operations at Online Computer Technologies, where he has played a pivotal role in business development, distribution management, and the expansion of Pakistan’s IT hardware ecosystem. His strategic collaborations with leading global technology brands have strengthened local distribution networks and driven sustainable growth within the industry.

He currently serves as the CEO of Macro Solution and Director of Operations at Online Computer Technologies, where he has played a pivotal role in business development, distribution management, and the expansion of Pakistan’s IT hardware ecosystem. Throughout his career, Umer has held key leadership positions at Pakistan Office Products and Marsons USA Corporation & Micro-Inn Pvt Ltd.  where he contributed to expanding global partnerships and advancing international operations. His expertise in IT distribution, supply chain management, and strategic sales planning has established him as one of the driving forces behind Pakistan’s evolving technology landscape.

Beyond his professional achievements, Umer is deeply passionate about art and creative expression. As an art critic, he explores a wide range of artistic forms—from calligraphy and watercolor to modern and contemporary art—believing that art serves as both a reflection of the human experience and a bridge between intellect and emotion. Inspired by his father, the renowned artist Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shafique Farooqi, he seeks to harmonize the analytical precision of business with the soulful depth of artistic thought.

As a founding member of the Computer Hardware Association of Pakistan (CHAP), Umer remains dedicated to advancing and uniting Pakistan’s computer hardware community, promoting innovation, collaboration, and excellence across the IT sector.
