Born in 1973 in Lahore, Umer Farooq Farooqi is a seasoned IT professional, business leader, and art enthusiast with over three decades of experience in Pakistan’s technology and distribution industry.

He currently serves as CEO of Macro Solution and Director of Operations at Online Computer Technologies, where he has played a pivotal role in business development, distribution management, and the expansion of Pakistan’s IT hardware ecosystem. His strategic collaborations with leading global technology brands have strengthened local distribution networks and driven sustainable industry growth.

Over the span of his career, Umer has held key leadership positions at Pakistan Office Products  and at Marsons USA Corporation, where he contributed to expanding global partnerships and advancing the company’s international operations. His expertise in IT distribution, supply chain management, and strategic sales planning has earned him recognition as one of the driving forces behind Pakistan’s growing technology landscape.

Beyond his professional achievements, Umer is deeply passionate about art and creative expression. As an art critic, he explores diverse forms—from calligraphy and watercolor to modern and contemporary art—believing that art is both a reflection of human experience and a bridge between intellect and emotion. Inspired by his father, the renowned artist Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shafique Farooqi, Umer seeks to integrate the analytical precision of business with the soulful depth of artistic thought.

As a founding member of the Computer Hardware Association of Pakistan (CHAP), he remains committed to advancing and uniting Pakistan’s computer hardware community, promoting innovation, collaboration, and excellence across the IT sector.

Muhammad Ahsan Rasheed 

Born in 1964, Muhammad Ahsan Rasheed completed his intermediate education at Forman Christian (FC) College, Lahore. In 1983, he embarked on a career in the armed forces by joining the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), Kakul, where he underwent rigorous military training and leadership development. He was commissioned into the Pakistan Army in 1985, serving with distinction for sixteen years in various command and staff appointments across Pakistan. Known for his professionalism, discipline, and integrity, he took voluntary premature retirement in 2001 with the rank of Major.

 

Building upon the leadership, discipline, and management skills developed during his military service, Major Muhammad Ahsan Rasheed (Retd) established Acom Distributors at Hafeez Centre, Lahore. Under his leadership, Acom evolved into a trusted and reputable name in Pakistan’s IT hardware market, specializing in printers, scanners, laptops, desktops, LEDs, and IT accessories. The company is recognized for its commitment to genuine products, ethical business practices, and reliable after-sales service, serving retail, wholesale, and corporate clients nationwide.

 

With over two decades of experience in Pakistan’s IT hardware industry, Major Muhammad Ahsan Rasheed (Retd) continues to play an active role in promoting ethical trade, advocating policy reforms, and strengthening collaboration within the sector. As an active member of the Computer Hardware Association of Pakistan (CHAP), he contributes to initiatives aimed at improving taxation frameworks, enhancing industry coordination, and raising professional and ethical standards across Pakistan’s computer hardware community.

Born in 1968, Khawar Idrees is a veteran entrepreneur and pioneering figure in Pakistan’s technology sector. His educational background provides a robust understanding of both commerce and economics, holding a Graduate degree in Commerce and a Master’s degree in Economics, complemented by a professional Diploma in Computer Sciences.
In 1991, Mr. khawar idrees embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by founding his computer business, FUTUREAGE COMPUTER. This venture was the culmination of relentless effort and a deep commitment to his professional philosophy:

Ijaz Ahmed

Ijaz Ahmed Awan was born in 1970. After completing his graduation in Commerce and Accounts, he pursued a Diploma in Computer Science, focusing on hardware and software technologies. Between 1994 and 1996, he gained international experience working as a Network Administrator in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

 

Since 1996, Ijaz Ahmed Awan has been actively contributing to the IT field in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. By the grace of Allah Almighty, he has established a strong professional reputation. He currently serves as the CEO of Micro Systems and works as a Technical IT Expert, exploring innovative solutions and new opportunities in the technology sector.

 

With over three decades of experience in IT, he has developed deep expertise across hardware, software, and network systems. He is passionate about advancing the field of information technology and continually seeks professional growth.

 

As a dedicated member of the IT community, Ijaz Ahmed Awan is keen to support the Computer Hardware Association of Pakistan (CHAP), contributing his knowledge and experience to strengthen the national IT ecosystem. Outside of work, he enjoys playing snooker and cricket, as well as traveling, which help him stay balanced, creative, and inspired.

Asif Shehzad

Asif Shehzad, a graduate of FC College Lahore (Class of 1980), began his career in his family’s paper business before entering a long-standing partnership with two close associates to provide customs clearance services. The partnership later expanded into the Lahore Stock Exchange.

 

In 1997, Asif along with his partners ventured into the computer hardware industry by founding Decent Computers, which later merged with POP and, in 2021, evolved into SNP Distribution through a merger with Spectra Innovation.

 

As Managing Partner, Asif has guided SNP Distribution to become a trusted name in Pakistan’s IT hardware market, recognized for reliability, innovation, and quality products.

In addition to his business leadership, Asif actively represents the computer hardware community in meetings with FBR, Customs, and other government bodies—advocating for policies that support industry growth.

 

As Senior Voice Chairman of CHAP, he continues to champion collaboration, innovation, and policy reform to strengthen Pakistan’s hardware sector and contribute to the nation’s digital progress
