The Computer Hardware Association of Pakistan (CHAP) has issued an official notice dated 7 February 2026 regarding unauthorized sales and the purchase of stolen or suspicious hardware.

The notice advises all members of the computer community to take extra care when buying hardware, components, and related IT equipment. CHAP has urged members to verify sellers, avoid unidentified or unverified sources, and be cautious of prices that appear unusually low or unrealistic.

CHAP has also reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy regarding stolen property. Any member found participating in transactions involving stolen items, whether as a buyer or seller, may face strict action, including legal proceedings where necessary.

Members and community stakeholders are encouraged to report any suspicious activity or information related to stolen hardware to the association.
