Introduction of Computer Hardware Association of Pakistan.
The Computer Hardware Association of Pakistan (CHAP) was established in 2025 as a representative body of IT and hardware traders across Pakistan. Its mission is to protect and promote the business and professional interests of the computer hardware community and to reduce the cost of doing IT business for sustainable and accelerated growth nationwide.
Although formally registered in 2025, the driving force behind CHAP comes from over three decades of dedicated service to Pakistan’s IT hardware industry. Over the last 30 years, the leadership and members of CHAP have:
- Built a strong dealer network of more than 1,200 active partners across the country, ensuring product availability in every major market.
- Played a key role in making modern computing, storage, and networking solutions accessible to businesses, educational institutions, and government sectors.
- Contributed significantly to Pakistan’s economy through imports, job creation, and consistent tax revenue generation.
- Advocated for favorable policies, reduced barriers to IT trade, and represented Pakistan’s IT hardware sector in both national and international forums.
- Since its inception, CHAP has worked actively to foster a healthy, transparent, and growth-oriented business environment, aimed at enhancing the IT hardware ecosystem of Pakistan. The association is particularly committed to empowering both youth and working professionals with IT skills and knowledge, contributing to their career development and personal advancement.
